OUR REGULAR SERVICES
We meet once on a Sunday for a morning service. Do be sure to pick up a notice sheet when you enter the church: these have all the week’s activities, news and interesting articles.
Morning Service
Our morning service starts at 10:30 am and is normally finished by about 11:45. Coffee, tea and squash are served after the service. There is a crèche for small children during this service. After the service if you would like to pray with someone there are people available who would be happy to do so.
Communion
We share communion around the Lord’s table on the 1st & 3rd Sundays, during the morning service. If you are a communicant member of another church then you are welcome to share in the bread and wine with us. The deacons will serve you in your pew. We take and eat the bread as we receive it, but the wine (which is served in little glasses) we keep so we can drink together as one body.
Facilities
The church has toilets by the entrance and a church lounge above the entry vestibule accessible by stairs. The church lounge has a kitchen and windows into the main church body with an audio link. This is excellent for parents of very young children and nursing mothers who may wish to be part of the service while playing with or feeding their children. The lounge is used by the crèche during the morning service.
The church has a multimedia video projection system that is used for every service. Song and hymn words are displayed along with multimedia presentations of various types as appropriate. Notices are also displayed at the start and end of the services. The projection screens can be viewed from the church lounge which is useful as it means that carers can join in during services even if their hands are full!
If You Have A Disability
A video projection system is used to display all the song and hymn words. This is useful for many people with vision problems as the words of the songs are large and clear. We also have some large print song books available if you prefer them; just ask a steward. The church has a closed-loop audio system for people with hearing aids.
The church has level access to the main church body with wide doors suitable for people with wheelchairs or mobility aids. The church does not yet have a purpose-made disabled toilet, though access is reasonable. There is a disabled toilet in the church hall which is round the corner from the church. If you have any problems or particular requirements please ask one of the stewards who will be only too happy to help.
